Principal's News
Dear St Paul's families,
Welcome to the final update for the term. On behalf of the staff at St Paul's I would like to say thank you for your continued support as we have journeyed through the lockdown restrictions. It certainly hasn’t been ideal in terms of the learning and teaching that we would normally provide for your children, however, we have endeavoured to provide as much support as possible. Please take time to 'recharge the batteries' over the holidays and hopefully, Term Four will start off better.
TERM FOUR UPDATE: This Sunday, the Premier will be announcing the guidelines for schools in Term Four. Like you I am waiting with anticipation as I would love to see all our children back onsite. Please keep in mind there will still be some restrictions in place regarding access for parents on school grounds. As soon as information is made available to us, it will be forwarded on.
WALK FOR BRAIN CANCER DAY: Just a reminder that tomorrow we will be having our fundraiser for Walk for Brain Cancer Day. It is a day that we encourage our students (both onsite and offsite) to wear purple, go for a walk and donate to the cause with a gold coin.
For students offsite - we have a donation box at the front office where parents can drive through and drop off a donation. Encourage your child/ren to go for a walk around the block in their purple tomorrow (we would love to see some photos!)
For students onsite - students can wear casual clothes (if possible with purple), there will be a course marked out for them to walk around during the day and the raised funds will be presented to Mrs Gray.
SCHOOL HATS: Please remember that school hats will be compulsory as of next term. Please ensure that your child's hat is clearly labelled.
Congratulations to this week's Milestone winners. It was nice to be able to present some certificates to foundation and junior unit classes today.
Bee Milestone: Lesieli Toto, Jessica Ram, Sam-Soni Ahotaeiloa, Willow Droffelaar, Annalise Goncalves-Wood, Skylar Humphrey, Angela Iang, Geordie Moraitis
Hive Milestone: Ari Williams, Dean Morvell, Levi Morton, Conor O'Rielly, Cienna Pascale, Hayley Rowe, Ellie Sexton, Reyon Shermin, Leo Tardio, Jed Thomas, Darcey Bysouth, Jaxon Dunn, Manny Fakaia-Reale, Jack Humphrey
TERM 3 FINISH: Tomorrow, Thursday 16th September is the last day of school for the students as staff will be participating in a professional learning day on Friday. School will finish at the normal time of 3.25pm.
There is NO onsite supervision of students on Friday.
STAFF UPDATE: Tomorrow we will be conducting interviews for some of our teaching positions to be filled in preparation for next year. This allows us plenty of time to plan and prepare for the 2022 school year. Announcements regarding these appointments will be made next term.
As always ,
Keep the Faith

Foundation Unit News
It was lovely to see the Foundation children coming into school last Friday full of excitement, enthusiasm and joy. It was a time for them to reconnect with their friends and teachers. They were very talkative all day as they had so much to share with their friends.
This week the children have been taking part in MAPPEN week, where the focus is Geography. They are learning about the weather, the local area they live in, where they are in the world, ways to look after our world and many more interesting aspects about our world.
Don't forget to dress in some PURPLE clothing to celebrate "Walk for Brain Cancer" on Thursday. This will be a fundraiser in support for Mrs Gray's husband who has been undergoing treatment for brain cancer.
This week in Maths the children have been engaging in some hands-on activities to reinforce the concept of "Subitising". Below are some pictures of the children taking part in these activities.
Finally, we would like to wish everyone a very safe and enjoyable holiday. We are hopeful that there will be plenty of days of sunshine to get outside to enjoy our beautiful surroundings. We look forward to seeing everyone back on deck for a very busy Term 4.

Junior Unit News
Hi Junior families. It has been lovely to see all the students back at school to end term 3. We would like to thank you for your support with your child's learning for the past few weeks. We appreciate your effort and patience as we ride through these lockdowns together.
The children have once again amazed us with their resilience as they have come back to school with happy faces and eager to continue their learning. We are finding the students are rather tired and looking forward to the school holidays.
Last Friday, for Literacy we read a poem about a clown. We listened to the description of the clown and drew what we thought he looked like. Here are some photos of our marvellous clown drawings.

Unfortunately, we have had to postpone our Junior Unit "Camp". We will schedule a date for this during term 4 and update you as soon as possible.
We hope you have a lovely school holidays and can enjoy some time with your loved ones. Here are some end of term 'funny faces' for you to enjoy!
